Junior Tennis
Overland Park Racquet Club offers a variety of organized clinics and programs for junior tennis players. For the youngest beginners, as well as advanced juniors, instructional programs are available to develop and advance everyone's game.
Junior Development Program Features

- Free evaluation to insure proper placement
- Member Junior walk-on time $3/hour per player
Fall/Winter Session Dates
- Session 1 - 6 weeks - Starting the week of Aug 18
- Session 2 - 6 weeks - Starting the week of Sept 29
- Session 3 - 6 weeks - Starting the week of Nov 10
- Session 4 - 7 weeks - Starting the week of Jan 5
- Session 5 - 7 weeks - Starting the week of Feb 23
Winter Drill & Match Groups for Juniors
Futures #5
Weds 6:00-7:00pm and/or Sat 1:00-2:00pm
- 6-10 years old (must be evaluate by staff if younger)
- Advanced beginner with some previous lesson experience
Futures #4
Mon 4:30-6:00pm and/or Weds 4:30-6:00pm
- 8-14 years old (must be evaluate by staff if younger)
- Low intermediate to intermediate
- Some experience playing games and sets
- Match play is on Sunday
Futures #3
Tues 4:30-6:00pm and/or Fri 4:30-6:00pm
- 10-14 years old (must be evaluate by staff if younger)
- JTL & Novice Tournament experience
- Match play is on Sunday
Futures #2
Tues 4:30-6:00pm, Thurs 5:00-6:30pm, Sun 3:30-5:00pm
- 14-16 years old (must be evaluate by staff if younger)
- Must have match play experience, such as JTL, Novice, or Grand Prix Tournaments
- Match play is on Sunday
Futures #1 Academy
Mon/Wed/Fri 4:00-6:00pm, Sat 1:00-3:00pm
- Must be approved by Futures Staff

Rising Stars Tennis
Clinics meet twice per week. Clinics are organized by age and skill level to provide the appropriate instruction for each player.
Pee Wee (ages 4-6)
$60 for six 30-minute lessons
Advanced Pee Wee (ages 4-6)
$60 for six 30-minute lessons
Hitters (ages 7-9)
$84 for six 1-hour lessons
Tennis for Teens (ages 10 & up)
$84 for six 1-hour lessons

OPRC Academy
The OPRC Academy is the Midwest's preeminent tennis academy for the region's most elite junior tennis players.
To earn acceptance into the OPRC OPRC Academy, players must graduate from the OPRC Futures Academy or receive special permission from the HPTA director.
