Junior Tennis
Overland Park Racquet Club offers a variety of organized clinics and programs for junior tennis players. For the youngest beginners, as well as advanced juniors, instructional programs are available to develop and advance everyone's game.

Weds 5:00-6:00pm and/or Sat 1:00-2:00pm

- Advanced beginner with some previous lesson experience

Mon/Weds 4:30-6:00pm
- 8-14 years old (must be evaluate by staff if younger)
- Low intermediate to intermediate
- Some experience playing games and sets

- JTL & Novice Tournament experience

PEE WEE CLINIC
This group (ages 4-6) will introduce kids to the game of tennis. Instructors will teach basic strokes and play fun games emphasizing hand-eye coordination and running.

ADVANCED PEE WEE CLINIC
This group (ages 4-6) is for kids who have graduated from the Pee Wee Clinic or for those who have had considerable instruction in the past. Instructors will begin to teach more advanced basic skills.

HITTERS CLINIC
In this class students (ages 7-9) will be exposed to learning all the strokes of tennis. Instructors will concentrate on technique and repetition of hitting at this level. Students will also enjoy playing fun games that lead up to the real game of tennis.

ADVANCED HITTERS CLINIC
This class is for students (ages 7-9) who have graduated from the Hitters Clinic or for those who have had considerable instruction in the past. Instructors will begin to teach more advanced technique and hitting on the move.

TEENS CLINIC
This is a beginner class for teenagers (ages 10 and up) who have never had instruction. Instructors will cover stroke technique and fundamentals through repetition, and also teach participants how to play singles points.

ADVANCED TEENS CLINIC
This class is for teenagers (ages 10 and up) who have graduated from the Teens Clinic or for those who have had considerable instruction in the past. Instructors will begin to teach more advanced technique and hitting on the move.

OPRC Academy
The OPRC Academy is the Midwest's preeminent tennis academy for the region's most elite junior tennis players.
To earn acceptance into the OPRC OPRC Academy, players must graduate from the OPRC Futures Academy or receive special permission from the HPTA director.
